Capital ships (Home One and Imperial Star Destroyers; ref. TESB, RotJ) mostly move at 100 meters per second, which is wierd, considering that in space (where there is no air resistance) only limit of speed is ships structural integrity (in case you have to change course/stop fast) and speed of light.
Millenium Falcon should be 30.53 meters long. On eyeball estimate, it went from 6.1 meters per second to 30 meters per second after 0.5 to 1 seconds of using afterburner, giving us acceleration of around 24 to 48 m/s^2.
Cannot propel ship FTL.
