Galactic Empire showed no dedicated air support aircraft; however, TIE bomber (seen in TESB) might be very useful in terms of air support, similar to Federation Attack Fighter.
Effect of bombs seem to be somehow different from proton torpedoes, althought it is still possible TIE bombers might use them.
